I have recently started my journey into technology as a Java student at Tech Elevator. I am excited to be expanding my skillset into this new area and am eager to explore the the potential opportunities to be found there. I'm particularly interested in databases and information management as well as incorporating my experience as a designer into the visualization of such information into unique user experiences. After a long, unique, and non-traditional path to my Bachelors Degree in Landscape Architecture I spent a few years working in traditional design studio environments getting a feel for industry practices. I was eager to work on projects that could help facilitate mutually beneficial interaction of the built environment and the natural elements that we share that space with. In time I determined that in order to accomplish the projects and visions I had in mind I needed to diversify my skill set rather significantly.I am a strong communicator and a life-long learner. I'm often found daydreaming about the bright futures available to us and some of my greatest joys come from bringing people together to share ideas towards a common goal that we can all believe in.
