Over 25 years experience with post production on drama, comedy, documentaries, light entertainment programmes and sports telecasts.Fifteen years as senior editor at a major Network station, I was also responsible for training and mentoring staff, developing editing workflow, special effects and production processes.I developed a unique production technique for matching CGI and DVE devices. This led to great workflow efficiency, a unique "look" and was used widely on sport title sequences and other programmes.I also was responsible for oversight on the implementation of Australia's first Broadcast Graphics system, "frost", which was used extensively on Sport, News and light entertainment programmes. This involved liasing with a great team of technical and creative staff. Working with and supporting the talented graphics team responsible for style and animation and liasing with scoring data providers and control room crew to help develop the most robust and "on-air friendly" user interface.More recently I have been location TD and second camera on a number of commissioned documentaries filmed in diverse locations from Aboriginal settlements in the Kimberley, hillside villages in East Timor, a formerly Shining Path infested village in the Peruvian Andes, sign language classes in Papua New Guinea and a traditional Marai in Aotearoa to the relative safety of Sydney and Melbourne. I have been responsible for the post production of these documentaries as well as authoring DVD and BluRay discs.Most recently I have moved into managing for my sister's business, a small but innovative company exporting and marketing her unique product around the world.This also involves video production of social media material, marketing images and video as well as instructional material for contractors and customers.The years of problem solving and workflow process development I'd used in television production have found a new outlet and a rewarding challenge.
