After working on the Alaskan Pipeline as a Master Electrician, he joined Stone and Webster, in Boston, as a Senior Cost Engineer. He authored the first estimating manual for Nuclear Power Plants. He revised the multibillion dollar budget for the construction of the Beaver Valley, PA Nuclear Plant and was Project Manager for the multibillion dollar cost estimate and construction of the University of Riyadh in Saudi Arabia.John formed JM Barges Corporation in 1978. In addition to Electrical and General Commercial Contracting, he also began the development and construction of many premier condominium, office buildings, single family home subdivisions and apartment complexes.
