I have had over 32 years’ experience in the Western Australian electrical industry. I spent the formative years of my career working for Air Services Australia in Perth and as the Lead Electrical Technical Officer for the Derby/ West Kimberley region of Western Australia. I completed my Diploma in Electrical Engineering at Perth Technical College in 1985. I also obtained my ' A' grade Electrical Licence during this timeAfter leaving Air Services, I spent some time in the security industry before joining Emerson as a UPS technician. My career has remained in the Secure Power industry since 1990. I have been responsible for commissioning many of the flagship UPS installations in Western Australian Oil and Gas industry, remote mine sites and commercial sites. Having specialised in commissioning industrial and customised UPS systems over many years, I consider myself as a specialist in this sector and I have regularly travelled interstate and overseas to commission and oversee important projects for clients such as Woodside, BHP, ConocoPhillips, Chevron, Boddington Gold, Origin Energy, and Maersk. In September 2012, I joined Secure Power Solutions as a co-director bringing the experience and knowledge of 25 years of working in remote and offshore locations and enhancing the level of customer support, providing a new benchmark for the Secure Power industry.
