HDP Management ApplicationDesigned and developed key components of the Sparta/Trinsic HDP Management Application, including public and private REST and GraphQL APIs. The HDP Cloud Management Application provides ingestion APIs for various HDP data sources. It also provides organization management and data visualization APIs for the HDP Cloud Management, Edge-compute, and Mobile UIs. It also acts as a two-way communications bus, feeding computed and raw source data into the HDP machine learning and analytics pipeline, and ingesting enriched and recomputed machine learning metric data into the visualization layer, as HDP models are added and refined. The HDP Management Application is built using Node.js and Hasura GraphQL on top of a PostgreSQL database. The HDP is deployed as a Docker container to AWS ECS using Aurora as the persistence service.

The Developer Portal and API Gateway allow external developers to define their own applications, which integrate with various Blackboard products, via public REST APIs. The Developer Portal and API Gateway are built using the Scala Play framework and Redis, with run-time data feeding into the Blackboard telemetry pipeline.Telemetry ServicesResponsible for designing and developing transforms and technical components of the Blackboard Learn telemetry pipeline. This pipeline processes event data raised within Blackboard Learn and marshals it to the telemetry cloud service, which feeds the data into Blackboard’s, cloud-based, analytics data lake. The information gathered within the data lake is used to provide error reporting, answer feature and technology usage questions, provide feature-specific analytics data, and answers to ad-hoc queries. The platform is built using the Scala Play framework, Kafka, Zookeeper, Elasticsearch, and Kibana for data visualization.Cloud, Social ServicesResponsible for designing and developing key cloud, social features which integrate with Blackboard Learn, via a set of well-defined REST APIs and UI components. These features allow students to connect and collaborate with other students within and across educational institutions. The social platform is a multi-tenant service built using the Scala Play framework, MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, and Titan graph database.Content Management ModuleResponsible for developing and reviewing architectural and key product designs for the Blackboard Learn Content Management Module and the Xythos WebFile Server family of products. The Content Management Module provides file and document management capabilities for the Blackboard Learn suite of products.

Responsible for managing all aspects of the development process, for the Xythos’ WebFile Server family of products. These include the Xythos Digital Locker (XDL) and Xythos Enterprise Document Manager (XEDM), which are J2EE-based document management applications, as well as the Xythos on Demand (XoD) product, which is a hosted version of the Xythos document management platform. Heavily involved in all architectural and product design decisions, as well as determining project deliverables and schedules. Worked closely with product management to scope releases and define feature requirements. Participated in the WebDAV working group, since the WebDAV protocol is a key component of the Xythos technology.

Acted as project manager and technical implementation lead on several B2B implementations using Extricity’s family of products. In this capacity, worked with several Fortune 500 companies to re-engineer how they collaborate with their trading partners, by utilizing the latest internet technologies, thus, helping them streamline their supply chains. Responsible for all aspects of the implementation life-cycle, including process re-engineering, design, development (including end-system integration), testing (unit – user-acceptance), and production cutover. Also responsible for training customer resources on the new technology. Helped develop and present several technical demonstrations showcasing Extricity’s B2B technology.

Margin Analysis Custom ApplicationParticipated in designing, coding, and implementing a decision support application for Micron’s accounting department. The application provided the accounting users with timely margin analysis information, from their production ERP system, and allowed them to perform complex, real-time analysis on this information. Data was extracted from the production system and imported into an Oracle Express database on a daily basis.Oracle Applications CustomizationsParticipated in designing, coding, and implementing several customizations on top of the Oracle Applications product suite. Projects included enhancements to ABC and cycle count functionality; a reconfiguration application that facilitated the tear-down and reconfiguration of returned computer systems; enhancements to the Oracle WIP module to facilitate the tearing down of canceled or refused systems.
