I was seconded into LOCOG as the Olympic Park Utilities Lead, as part of an enhanced delivery team that has brought in to assist with the project management of the construction and installation of their Games Time Overlay. My duties and key accountabilities include:• Managing the £1.8m Games Time enhancement of the Olympic Park 11kV Network by UK Power Networks• Managing the procurement and construction of the electrical civil works associated with the 11kV Network enhancement works• Managing the installation and commissioning of circa 50 1600A CT Chambers across the Park, which allow Aggreko to connect their equipment to the transformers supplied by UKPN.• Managing the installation of circa 70 electrical and 7 gas meters by EDF Energy and National Grid Metering Services respectfully.• Managing the construction and commissioning of 12 new water connections and the commissioning of over 30 existing water connections.• Managing the installation of 4 secondary heat exchangers and the associated pipe work and systems• Monitoring the Health, Safety and Environmental performance of the contractors and sub-contractors under my control.• Driving the Contractors’ performances against project milestones, KPIs and programme• Management and analysis of project costs• Preparation of monthly and weekly progress reports and programmes

Returned to working on the Lea Valley Utilities (LVU) concessionaire contract , for the Low Voltage phase of the project, as the Low Voltage Network Assistant Project Manager, where my duties and key accountabilities included:• Responsible for the day-to-day on-site operations of LVU and their sub-contractors during the construction phase of the Low Voltage on the Olympic Park• Communicating with and instructing LVU in accordance with the bespoke Concessionaire Contract • Management and coordination of the LVU’s works with other works on the Olympic Park• Liaising and coordinating with the 9 contractors installing the electrical civil works across the Olympic Park• Managing the adoption of the electrical civil works by LVU• Monitoring and reporting on LVU’s and their sub-contractor’s Health, Safety and Environmental performance • Reporting on contract and site progress and performance• Maintaining the Contractor’s performance against project milestones and programme• Assisting with management and analysis of project costs

The Olympic Delivery Authority procured a Design and Build Contractor to design and build the Multi-Utilities Civil Works on the Olympic Park, and then hand the completed and commissioned sections of the Multi-Utilities Civil Works to the appointed Host Utilities (Lea Valley Utilities, Thames Water, Fulcrum and BT). I was appointed as the Assistant Project Manager on the Multi-Utilities Contract, as part of a new delivery team that was brought in to assist the incumbent Project Manager in driving the Design and Build Contractor to achieve practical completion. My duties and key accountabilities included:• Leading the onsite Delivery Partner team which was co-located with the Contractor• Liaising with and instructing the Contractor on behalf of the Project Manager• Monitoring the Contractor’s Health, Safety and Environmental performance and intervening where necessary• Management and coordination of the Contractor’s works with other Construction Managers and contractors• Keeping the Project Manager informed of contract and site progress and performance• Improving the Contractor’s performance against project milestones, KPIs and programme• Assisting with management and analysis of project costs• Preparation of monthly progress reports and programmes• Leading on the commissioning and handover of the 42 sections of Utilities to the Host Utilities• Leading the close out of construction, commissioning and snagging activities

My duties and key accountabilities included:• Responsible for the day-to-day on-site operations of LVU (part of UK Power Networks) and their sub-contractors during the construction phase of the Low Voltage, 11kV and 132kV networks on the Olympic Park• Communicating with and instructing LVU in accordance with the bespoke Concessionaire Contract on behalf of the Project Manager• Management and coordination of the LVU’s works with other Construction Managers, Olympic Park Venues and principle contractors• Liaising with the Multi-Utilities Design and Build contractor• Managing the adoption of the electrical civil works by LVU• Monitoring and reporting on LVU’s and their sub-contractor’s Health, Safety and Environmental performance and intervening where necessary• Keeping the Project Manager informed of contract and site progress and performance• Maintaining the Contractors performance against project milestones and programme• Assisting with management and analysis of project costs• Preparation of weekly progress reports

Atkins was appointed by the Olympic Delivery Authority to develop and coordinate the scheme designs and produce the technical specifications for the Utility Networks on the Olympic Park. The scheme designs and specifications were included in tender and contract documents for the Multi-Utilities Design and Build contract. We also provided design and technical assistance to the appointed Multi-Utilities Design and Build Contractor.My duties and key accountabilities included:• Coordination of the production of the design specifications, documentation and drawings for Invitation to Tender and Contract Award packages for the Multi-Utilities Design and Build Contracts.• Provided engineering and technical support to the Delivery Partner’s LVU Project Management team.• Management of a number of changes to the 11kV network which were driven by the Olympic Delivery Authority and LOCOG• Regular liaison with Lea Valley Utilities (LVU)• Produced electrical network and electrical civil works design drawings and schedules• Managed the 11kV networks design interfaces between the various design teams within and outside of Atkins• Supported the Multi-Utilities Design and Build Contractor in gaining design approval from LVU• Reviewed the Multi-Utilities Design and Build Contractor’s design drawings on behalf of the Client• Led on the production of a scheme reference design for the Olympic Park Low Voltage Network which was used during the procurement process

The Taurus Project was for the construction of a new Wire Rod Mill which was being built on the existing Corus Steelworks production plant at Scunthorpe. I was based on the construction site and was responsible for the management and coordination of all aspects of the materials prior to their installation. This role involved locating and identifying the materials that have been delivered to the site; and the planning, organisation and assembly of packages of materials for various units of the project. I was also responsible for delegating tasks to the supervisors, and the compilation of assembly files containing parts lists, schematic drawings and photographs of the parts from which the supervisors could begin the preassembly of materials and their transportation to the work areas.CV-Extended.docx
