My technical skills are extensive and based on Heavy Earthmoving Equipment and Fixed Plant. This includes hydraulic maintenance on mobile equipment and all hydraulic functions on fixed plant from installation, repairs and improvements e.g. cooling systems. I have also managed a crushing plant e.g. Track mounted Crushers, Hitachi ZR 950’s which included managing the quarry that supplied sized stone. Whilst working for R.A.P.P (one of the largest Pulp and Paper mills in the world) I consulted and worked on their Prototype de-barked Log Feeding System. Logs were fed by conveyor into the chipper and then the chip was distributed to the various chip piles on conveyors. Being in a remote area we often had to carry out emergency repairs to the conveyors e.g. hot splicing. I have experience with Cement Batching Plants consisting of Cement Silos, Scales, Sand and Stone Stock in radial stackers with their respective winches. The delivery of cement to sites was via Nissan Trucks with Hydraulic driven agiatators. Part of my job description at both Kerinci Mill, Indonesia and Porsea Mill, Indonesia (April Indonesia) was to maintain and manage Cement Batching Plants and Equipment.We utilized Mainpak and SAP computer systems in the control of maintenance and repairs.I have managed large Heavy Plant and Transport Workshops where I trained, mentored and developed large workforces of National Staff. In the 12 years I spent in Indonesia I gained vast experience in the mentoring, motivating and leading of staff, building strong project teams, developing client/supplier relationships and controlling resources to deliver successful shut down outcomes. I have a very good understanding of the contractual and commercial aspects of capital projects and the management of dealership tradesmen consultants and sub-contractors.
