CSMS#1, I was responsible for the daily workflow of the Canvas Shop. I sign in job orders, repair and fabricate canvas products for the FMS shops around the state. With the use of heavy equipment and machinery to complete the task are as follows: single and double needle four foot neck Adler sewing machines, ten KW deep throat c-press vinyl welder, forty-five ton crane, two ton fork lift. I fabricate, design and interpret customer blue prints and follow accurate dimensions and measurements to produce the best possible product. Working at the CSMS#1, “other duties as assigned” are: - the Machine Shop fabricate precise parts by using the lathe, the milling machine, the band saw, the brake drum lathe, and the drill press, - the Welding Shop using the welder to repair truck parts, fabricate new product from tables, racks, and crates etc., - the Body Shop repair trucks, trailers and other vehicles, - the Radiator Shop repair and assemble new and used radiators, - the Wood Shop fabricate items out of wood from crates to tables and display cases and other one off designs from concept and/or blueprints from customers , - the Paint Shop prepping, sanding, sand blasting, taping, and painting of vehicles and other jobs, - the Sign Shop, fabricate signs and decals by use of a computer, router, plotter and an edge printer. Having to read, interpret and develop prints, sketches and or schematics for customers and produce the products in a timely schedule, - the Glass Shop repair, fabricate vehicle windows, and one off glass cases for awards and display cabinets. All of these Shops demand a lot of skill and talent. I am fortunate to have worked in the Service Section, where I have became proficient in all the Allied Trades by being cross-trained in all the Service Section Shops over the past 26 years that I have worked there.

I also build and repair the r/c aircrafts for flight. Maintained and repaired vehicles in the motor pool. HQ 2nd/150 FAUnit Dates: March 1986 to February 1990 Duty Position: General Mechanic 63B LightWheelVehicle Mechanic I was assigned to the maintenance section. I performed maintenance on light wheeled equipment. This is where I learned my army military bearing and became a 63B mechanic. U. S. NAVY September 1981 to September 1985 Duty Position: Aviation Boatswain-mate Handler (ABH) I was stationed aboard the aircraft carrier USS America CV-66, (V-1 Division). I was an aircraft handler, on the flight deck, I chocked and chained aircraft (Blue Shirt), I was in charge of all the GSA equipment (Tractor King), I directed Aircraft movement (Yellow Shirt), plus, I did the usual, swabbed the deck, sandblast and paint the Ship annually, fire fighting training (both ship and aircraft) and NBC training, emergency aircraft recovery training weekly.
