As the First Sergeant for the Thule Space Base, i was responsible for the morale and welfare of over 150 military personnel and over 300 civilians from multiple nations. Additionally, I served as the principal advisor to the Installation Commander on the effective utilization, training, career progression, discipline, and organizational performance for all personnel assigned to the base. Furthermore, I chaired selection boards for enlisted awards program, evaluates decorations and provided recommendations for promotions. Lastly, as the First Sergeant, I ensured the needs of families for all personnel were met and taken care of in the members absence.

Altus Air Force Base, Oklahoma

As the First Sergeant for the 97th Civil Engineer Squadron, I was responsible for the morale and welfare of all military and civilian Airmen that plans, directs, and assesses daily infrastructure operations and capabilities to ensure the installation populace is able to live and work on Altus Air Force Base. Additionally, i was the primary advisor to the commander and senior staff on the welfare, effective utilization, training, career progression, discipline, and organizational performance of more than 265 military and civilian personnel assigned to the Civil Engineer Squadron. I also chaired selection boards for enlisted awards programs, evaluated annual performance reports and decorations, and provides recommendations for promotions. Lastly, I served as the Commander’s representative to a myriad of wing advisory councils, committees, boards, and military and civilian functions.

Altus Air Force Base, Oklahoma

As the First Sergeant for the 97th Operational Support Squadron, I was the principal advisor to the commander of the largest and most diverse squadron in the Operations Group. I advised the commander on matters of member welfare, effective utilization, discipline, career progression, and organizational performance of more than 225 military and civilian personnel. Additionally, I was responsible for ensuring the needs of families for all members were met. Lastly, I served at the Commander’s discretion as his/her representative at a myriad of wing advisory councils, committee boards, and military and civilian functions.

As the 96 AMU Specialist Section Chief it is my responsibility to lead 135 Regular Air Force and Air Force Reserve aircraft technicians across six Air Force Specialty Codes in the maintenance of fourteen B-52H aircraft valued at over 1.2 billion dollars. In addition to steering maintenance for assigned personnel, I oversee the management of 4 million dollars in tools, test equipment, vehicles, computers and other resources used to support the maintenance activities for the unit. I am directly responsible for the development, training and supervision of 104 Regular Air Force Noncommissioned Officers (NCOs) and Airmen, to include creating work schedules, managing the leave program, ensuring training and readiness is in compliance with applicable Air Force Instructions and poised to support and provide Combatant Commanders with capable and ready war fighters.

As the Instrument and Flight Control Systems Noncommissioned Officer in Charge (NCOIC), I supervised, planned, organized and directed maintenance for 19 Regular Air Force and Air Force Reserve aircraft technicians on 24 B-52H aircraft valued at over 2 billion dollars. I developed work schedules, assigned shift leads and ensured all assigned personnel were properly trained and qualified. In addition I oversaw the management of assigned test equipment, technical orders and vehicle up-keep. Lastly, I ensured accurate maintenance record data was properly entered into the maintenance information system to guarantee accurate historical aircraft maintenance records were maintained and available.

Assists Command Chief (CCM) in monitoring the development, readiness, utilization, morale, deployment, and quality of life (QoL) for 935 enlisted Airmen. Manages Wing Quarterly and Annual Awards Program; to include reviewing, editing, and tracking all enlisted correspondence, EPRs (Enlisted Performance Reports), and decorations. Plans CCM's squadron and group visits, VTCs (video teleconferences), and TDYs (temporary duty travel). Schedules and facilitates enlisted DVs (distinguished visitors) including CMSAF (Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force), MAJCOM (Major Command) and NAF (Numbered Air Force) CCMs. Manages CCM daily schedule, organizational email account, Wing enlisted funds, ACC (Air Combat Command), NAF and Wing suspenses as well as all CMSgt validations within the wing.

Managed, organized, and directed Instrument and Flight Control Systems maintenance on 17 E-8C JSTARS aircaft. Also provided leadership, training, operational management for 40 Active Duty Air Force and Air National Guard personnel. Responsible for coordinating with squadron supervisors, contractors and MAJCOM (Major Command) and HHQ (Higher Headquarters) managers to ensure the highest quality of maintenance. Planned and coordinated section personnel to meet deployment and training readiness for AEF (Air Expeditionary Forces) and COCOM (Combat Commanders) enabler taskings.

Air Force Specialty Code (AFSC) subject matter expert; ensures proper aircraft support equipment inspections, maintenance and documentation accuracy. Responsible for Instrument & Flight Controls System maintenance activities on various aircraft to include C-5,C-17, C-130, E-8C (JSTARS), and 747 aircraft. Led production effort to provide oversight on Air Mobility Command (AMC) and Air Combat Command (ACC) strategic aircraft preflight, thruflight & basic postflight inspections. Supervised launch/recovery, refuel/defuel, deice & servicing support to more than 1,200 military & commercial aircraft yearly.
