While not having any previous experience with this application I quickly learnt how to use the various modules which related to my areas of responsibility. I built a database to record this information which also allowed production of advice to Item Master for price list action and to stores to action price changes. As a result queries from Category Managers were responded to immediately rather than having delays in searching records.Identified and cleaned up Price List information with Item Master. Over time items had been added to Clearance Price lists or changed from one Price list to another without the former being end dated. I identified those lines with Category Managers and advised Item Master of Price List action to be taken. As a result we cleaned up all items on multiple price lists.Improved Excess Stock Database Report. The existing report produced by the Excess Stock Database did not provide information on sell through or Clearance \ Managers Special pricing. I linked databases and provided this information. Category Managers were better able to make decisions on excess stock given the additional information assisting in correcting the excess situation.Made redundant due to major reorganisation. I built a database for the recording of truck movements and what they were carrying. This was linked via ODBC to the main computer system allowing the sharing of information from that system. From this database we were able to analyse truck turn times, number of loads to different areas, customer service were able to confirm delivery times, receival of raw materials and confirm transport invoices. Effectively reduced stock holding by 50% while maintaining DIFOT releasing $1 million of capital into the business.Conducted an internal audit of all picking and packing procedures to identify weaknesses and bottlenecks. Devised and applied suitable solutions to remove redundant processes and improve workflow. As a result staff hours were reduced by 10% while maintaining output at an improved accuracy level.Identified data requirements for the production of EDI messages for supply of greeting cards to David Jones and Myer. Mapped a solution for capturing this data through scanning and links to WMS. Implemented the system with staff training and acceptance. EDI with David Jones and Myer was implemented on schedule with very few difficulties.Installed a new Warehouse Management System. I liaised with the software providers to build data tables and transfer data to enable a seamless transition from old system to new.
