I am a senior level leader and administrator committed to the continual improvement of information technology programs, services and outcomes. Information technology is challenging but that does not mean it needs to be out of reach, complicated and/or confusing. I strive to ensure the right things are done for the right reasons, at the right time, and in the right way. I most recently served as the CIO/CISO for Lincoln University while also representing Higher Education's 4 year institutes in an advisory and governance capacity on the MOREnet Council through leading as MOREnet Council chair person and participating on with Missouri Department of Higher Education’s (MDHE) in the areas of Cyber Security, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery. I have served as a Director of Information Technology, Program & Compliance Officer and Interim CIO for Missouri S&T, as a VP of Financial Affairs for the local PMI chapter and past board member/secretary for the local InfraGard chapter, as a member of the State of Missouri Governor’s Homeland Security Council’s (HSC) Business Continuity task force and assisted/consulted to his Cyber Security task force. I have 30+ years of experience with government, higher ed, health, public sector, business and technology planning and management. I am a retired veteran of the MO Army-National Guard after serving 23 years; lastly assigned to headquarters' Directorate of Information Management working with Cyber Security/Continuity Planning and held a “Top Secret SCI” security clearance. I have a MS in IT management, BS in Power Technology and AA in Automotive Technology. I've been recognized by the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium as a Certified Information System Security Professional, by the Disaster Recovery Institute International as a Certified Business Continuity Professional, by Boston University as certified in Project Management and by the State of Missouri as a certified Missouri Project Manager.
