Dairyland is a small farm enterprise located in the Snohomish Valley in Washington state. Situated on an old dairy farm it is now site to multi crop organic and conventional farming, a wedding and events space, and on farm brewing operation (Haywire Brewing CO) as well as a U-cut and pre-cut Christmas tree farm. Woodland Meadow Farms is a multi-crop/livestock farm as well as a outdoor wedding & event venue in the Snohomish Valley. John started the farm in 2008 with the purchase a small farm site that was a former Christmas tree farm. He not only designed the layout of the property to work with the previous Christmas tree farm that once operated on the site but he also managed and did a vast majority of the work himself so that the farm could host summer weddings. After a few years of a success operation, Woodland Meadow Farms has been able to expand and acquire a 50 acre farm site just a mile down the road. John is integral to the day to day operations, trading time between the seat of a tractor and an office chair, which is the norm for small farms. Since the acquisition, Woodland Meadow Farms is beginning to expand it's agricultural offerings by working with organizations such as the Snohomish Conservation District to develop this first-generation operation into an example of modern, sustainable farming practices. Currently Woodland Meadow Farms offers poultry products and grass-fed/grass-finished beef. Since 2011, sales from the wedding portion of Woodland Meadow Farms have doubled each year and bookings have nearly quadrupled. Green Dot's core business is U-Haul or U-Cart concrete service but also provides delivery of concrete and other landscaping materials. Finding he had a proclivity for racing, John elected to leave engineering school and pursue racing full time as a career. He spent many years traveling the United States and the world, using the earnings from his racing wins to start to develop his real estate portfolio. John was also a two-time member of the USA National Junior Trophy team for the International Six Days of Enduro (ISDE), which is regarded as the "Olympics of Off Road Racing". He rode on the same team as other noteable racers like Kurt Casselli and Nathan Woods. Both years he participated, he won the Silver medal. After purchasing his first property at the age of 20, John has expanded his real estate portfolio with a variety of commercial and residential properties. John has also worked with local real estate agents and banks, performing property rehabilitation and REO work.
