I dealt with a number of different businesses, from Solicitors to Bakeries and from Garages to Hairdressers And Beauty parlours.I was particularly keen on the hair and beauty side as we had just opened a new segment of the book whichCatered for them, it was a full page menu style advert that was nearly 75% cheaper than having a full page itself.I enjoyed them as the people who worked in that sector were very approachable and open to ideas, somefelt it wasn’t for them, but the ones that did went in whole hearted and my pitch never deviated from the fact they would have a full page with their prices available to thousands of people in their catchment area.One of the deals I did was with a coach company in Manchester who went in all 4 Manchester books at a combined price of £5000, what made that deal all the sweeter was my manager was sat with me at the time, I used the fact that his competitors were in the book and getting a very good return.
