My journey in the workforce has been an evolution of my life path. I began as a humble general laborer in manufacturing in the rust belt in Corry, PA. Knowing I was meant for more, I chose to take a position in tool and die at the same company. After working there for 8 years the company had a mass layoff prior to closing their doors, I was among that number in early 2008. As a father and husband, I could scarce afford to be idle without income. I evaluated my options and after taking a career aptitude test was given the advice to be a social worker or a nurse. Understanding that there is always job security in healthcare, I was armed with a desire to save lives and make a difference in the lives of others. I chose nursing as my profession and passion, letting my heart guide my choice. I have never found more fulfillment in my work life than when I can help and heal others. My goal is to be an inspiration, remembered as someone my daughters can be proud of.
