I am currently the head of design & planning at Lagan Homes Ireland, where I am responsible for the technical side of acquisitions, viability appraisals, setting/optimising development strategies, setting resultant design briefs, design team appointments, development management, and managing property law and planning matters. I have played a key role in the company's growth from completing 30 units in 2021 to an expected circa 300 units in 2024, whilst laying the groundwork to increase this to 500 units per annum over the next 3 years.Previously, I was also Head of Design & Planning at Lioncor Developments (owned by Oaktree Capital & Alanis Capital), primarily focusing on the establishment and implementation of the design, planning & statutory compliance strategies for numerous residential and mixed use developments of up to 1500 units.Prior to joining Lioncor I was employed by Interactive Project Managers as the senior PM on the 100,000 sq.m Dublin Landings mixed use development in Dublin's docklands, by the Ballymore Group & Oxley Holdings.I am an architect by profession, educated in Ireland (D.I.T.) the UK (University of Liverpool) and USA (University of Washington).Prior to joining Interactive Project Managers, I spent almost three years in Dubai.I initially worked as an associate in a large commercial practice (GAJ, primarily large scale hotel work across the MENA region), before being appointed as the senior project manager for Meydan's Mohammed Bin Rashid City District 1. I was employed by the US multi-disciplinary firm AE7 (the lead consultant on this €4bn project) to head the project team which comprised of Masterplanning, Infrastructure (including 400Kv OHL undergrounding), Architecture, Civil, Structural, MEP, Interior design, Hydrology, Traffic & Landscape teams. Prior to working in the middle east, I ran my own architectural firm in Ireland for 10 years. Other over seas experience includes working in architectural practices in Germany & Australia.I have experience in the following sectors: Masterplanning, Mixed-use, High Rise, Hospitality, Residential, Educational, Commercial, Retail, Healthcare, Industrial & Transportation (Railway).My core competancies include contractual / legal reviews, reports / claims, project planning and implementation, project delivery review & cost control, and property inspection.
