I joined the educational publishing industry in 1990 from a screenprinting background. I was a book designer until 1996 when I went freelance and started a small publishing services business. I learned all editorial, authoring, artwork commissioning and project management during the 11 years I freelanced. I rejoined Maskew Miller Longman in March 2008 to start up the multimedia section of our new ePublishing Department. We were a small team that has learned a lot about digital publishing and creation of rich media assets.From 2013 I lead a team of producers producing digital content for South African schools and higher education markets. Our primary focus was the production of reflowable epubs as well as rich media content.My current role is to oversee the production of digital content for markets in Africa.
