My career with Duke Power began in January 1990 at the Dan River Steam Station responsible for the new distributive control system and thermal performance monitoring. In November 1994, I began work at the Mecklenburg Cogeneration Facility as the Plant Engineer with D/FD responsible for the DCS, CEMS, I&E craft personnel, capital project upgrades and predictive maintenance. Opportunities allowed my advancement to Assistant Plant Manager managing 22 personnel and the plant business responsibilities. In 2004, I became the Combustion Engineer at Marshall Steam Station and the NOx SPOC to support meeting the NCCAP. In 2009, I became the Technical Manager of the Air Quality Control Systems and Water Chemistry in Generation Maintenance Services.Specialties: My career goals include increasing managerial responsibilities where I can apply by broad plant operating and business experience. I would look favorably to opportunities in the power station or at corporate offices in technical and business applications.
