Sample Projects● MEHPS- Mobile Electric Hybrid Power Sources – MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) Project Lead. Designed and tested a 94% efficient GaN based 2 KW MPPT (circuit that interfaced to solar panels and a dual active bridge) to decrease generator fuel consumption. Designed voltage and current sensors that interfaced to A/D within the DSP. Utilized PSIM with auto C code generation to implement digital control. Developed test plan to ensure circuit functionality prior to system assembly. ● Project Lead. Designed RVC (regulating valve controller) motor drive. Employed a buck/boost PFC to meet MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-1399 current harmonics limits. Designed power electronics, voltage and current sensors and sine output filter to minimize harmonics. DSP controlled.● Project Lead. Designed 300W discrete component Cuk dc/dc power supply with wide input voltage range and a regulated 150Vdc output to provide power for a fan controller.
