Department manager for UK Retail, Loss prevention and International departments with added responsibility for CI and BCM for the site.UK retail deliveries for over 500 high street stores as well as cross docking with 3 other distribution centres in the chain for multiple brands.Managing 150+ warehouse colleagues including agency workers, contracted security guards and 7 Team managers.Key Responsibilities: • Planning and managing operational Budgets & KPIs. • Implementing best practices into operational processes. • Succession Management and Development of Managers and Colleagues • Introducing and maintaining Continuous Improvement processes • Implementing new warehouse layouts and restructure management team • Act as a role model for the management team, being personally accountable for setting high standards of behaviour on site • Multi-site operation supporting 3 sites in maintaining both Continuous Improvement & BCM planning and implementation, one process for all sites. • Change Management and staff culture integration • Carry out regular reviews in line with Company policy to ensure direct reports are fully aware of their responsibilities and are able to manage standards and perform HR processes • Responsible for liaising closely with site Transport Management to ensure the Delivery and Trunking Network runs to schedule, achieving stated Delivery Completion KPI targets • Responsible for ensuring and managing DC processes in line with AEO • Responsible for working with the site Safety and Facilities Manager to ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation, facilities maintenance and standards.
