Team Member of the Natural Gas Business Unit Transmission Integrity Management group. We are responsible for overseeing the integrity management and assessments of over 3000 miles of natural gas transmission pipelines.

I am a project manager working on the Duke Energy Grid Solutions Smart Meter (AMI) projects covering all of the Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio service territories. I am responsible for project scheduling, cost forecasting, leading several weekly project team meetings and assuring compliance to company PMO requirements.

Gas Engineering department:Multiple roles - Currently a Lead Engineer in the Pipeline Integrity group responsible for the operation of multiple ongoing pipeline inspection projects and associated data and risk analysis. Previous role was Supervisor of the Pipeline Engineering group that included the management of engineers, drafting technicians, and support staff. Prior to this was the engineering project manager for the Accelerated Main Replacement Program. This program involved the replacement of approximately 100 mi of pipeline per year and included the management of multiple engineering firms, construction bidding activities, construction changes, and continual coordination with most of the governmental agencies in the Cincinnati metro area. Prior to this, designed and coordinated the construction of many large gas main relocation/replacement projects in association with municipal street improvements and private developments. This involved frequent detailed review of roadway improvement drawings for conflicts with existing gas mains and coordination with multiple government and private entities.

Electric Generation Engineering & Construction: Managed a multitude of generating station capital and O&M projects as well as contributing to major construction projects. Majority of experience was at the East Bend Generating station. Projects there included replacement of a 375,000 gallon sludge storage tank, installation of a roller guided coal barge access bridge, installation of a synfuel processing plant, development of multiple capital budgets including FGD landfill projects, structural design for support of a coal conveyor magnetic separator, structural design of platforms and foundations, structural chimney inspections, and design and construction of an additional plant entrance road. This projects included design work and procurement of labor and material resources to complete the construction. Worked with senior civil/structural engineers on Noblesville Repowering and St. Paul Cogen projects managing concrete construction and structural steel erection.

Worked with the Construction Services division as a field engineer on the $350 million Fort Washington Way highway reconstruction project in downtown Cincinnati. Maintained quality in various aspects of construction such as concrete placements, reinforcing steel installation, and monitoring of concrete bridge girder post-tensioning. Performed quantity takeoffs for payment of completed work to contractors. Interacted with a multitude of contractor foreman and project managers, design engineers, and city and state highway department personnel.

Assembled construction drawing packages for structural steel and reinforced concrete structures. Worked with a team of structural engineers and designers on a $200 million fast-track pharmaceutical manufacturing facility project. We produced a design that was on time and under budget. Coordinated work with multi-disciplinary teams of architects and engineers in order to produce the design deliverables.

Worked alongside senior engineers to produce construction drawing packages for highway improvement and land development projects. Operated CAD drafting systems to create cross-sections, and profile layout. Calculated construction quantities for bid packages. Performed drainage calculations, foundation design checks, parking lot layout, housing development design, quantity takeoffs, and surveying.
