As the only full time Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator at Eberhard in their history, I have the responsible for creating and enforcing a culture of safety. Maintain best practices designed to enhance and improve regulatory compliance, as well as minimize industrial injuries/illness, workers' compensation costs, property damage, and other general liability losses. Manged a chemical company's safety and workers compensation to a 0 lost time injuries and taught monthly safety topics to a plant of about 110 employees. Managed on a daily basis all of the contractors onsite through a thorough safety permitting system. Introduced cut 4 gloves to the maintenance staff and prevented all hand and finger lacerations during the year. Updated many of their written and training programs. Lost job due to company being bought by Kraton and did not need this position.

As a Safety Specialist for the OBWC/DSH I helped over 500 employers over a 16 year career in the state. Taught safety teams how to perform safety hazard assessments, taught over 10 different topics all over the state for employers. OSHA 500/501 instructor that taught many OSHA10/30 classes all over the state. I assisted employers with OSHA citations, accident prevention, and good claims management.

Managed over 500 employees on Safety, Environmental, and Health issues for 4 years +. Reduced Ohio Workers Comp claims by over $325,000.0 over 4 years and prepared them to go Self Insured status with OBWC. Won 2 Achievement awards as the Safety Manager for company. Established a safety team to reduce accidents and to look for preventing issues and claims. Managed 2 plants, 1 in OH and the other in PA. PA plant made rail cars and at the end of my time with the company we moved to making flat bed trailers there as well. I was able to obtain air and storm water permits in both states without any citations.
