ESB Developments is a private consulting company owned and operated by John Birch since July 1984. The firm provides construction /business planning and implementation services to Aboriginal and Non-Aboriginal clients throughout Canada and export arrangements for North American products to overseas clients.What we do:1. Procure project financing Prepare viable business plans with all the relevant supporting documents to secure financing; 2. Provide design-build projects of any size and capacity, either as a turn-key or joint venture partnership contracts with local employment and businesses as priority sub-contracts.I have been in the construction industry since 1975 and have worked with First Nations since 1984. We have been in business working with First Nations for over 24 years. During that time we have built over 1000 houses, a school. various other projects (health facilities, shopping center, schools, and various other band buildings). The total value of work completed to date exceeds $300 million.What makes us unique in the industry is the fact that ESB Developments sources the funding and completes the funding applications and therefore we know where the funding is and how to access it. ESB Construction provides the construction management services and we prefer to optimize the local labor component.We pride ourselves on developing projects that ultimately create jobs and create community wealth and consequently have had to be very creative in developing successful projectsI also owned and developed a company called Corecan that initially developed real estate projects in the Far East (Russia). We moved further west developing projects and exporting Canadian construction technologies in Ukraine, Czech Republic, Hungary. Our last projects involved providing per-manufactured insulated exterior wall panels to clients involved in the Social Housing Program in England and Ireland.
