Company Designated Engineering Representative (DER) ECS and Pneumatics. Lead DER for digital pressurization system Hawker 900XP. Derived auto schedule for digital pressurization control software. Used CFD analysis and testing to eliminate tonal noise of outflow valves. Worked directly with Liebherr-Aerospace Toulouse as test witness for component and system chamber certification tests of pressurization system at Toulouse, France facility. Worked directly with Honeywell Tempe for certification of an improved engine bleed mixing valve that eliminates pressure drop at low engine power settings. Worked with Messier-Dowty Canada for gear sustaining issues. Performed root cause analysis and derived fix of nose gear extension issues for fielded aircraft.

Senior Engineer II Grade 4. Worked as mechanical systems platform lead for Hawker 750, 800, 800XP, 850XP, 900XP, and 1000 aircraft. Provided compliance rational for major/minor determination for component substitutions. Created certification plans for new components and systems including digital pressurization, oxygen, and bleed air. Prepared qualification plans and certification reports to find compliance to 14 CFR part 25 and CAR 4b regulations. Provided analysis of system function to correlate testing results with aircraft operating envelope. Provided plans, testing, and reports leading to the issuance of type certificate for the Hawker 750 aircraft. Major systems tested included fire suppression, smoke detection, auxiliary heat, external baggage doors, service hatches, and ventilation. Provided system description and technical assistance to support issuance of AT4637WI-T-A-1 Equivalent Level of Safety (ELOS) in regard to the Hawker 750 baggage liner.

Worked as a certification engineer to obtain Type Certificate (TC) for the Hawker 900XP aircraft. Completed component qualification report documenting showing of compliance to CAR 4b.601 and 14 CFR 25.1301 on FAR part 25 power plant components and accessories. Conducted test programs on engine installation for the TFE731-50R powerplant installation on the Hawker 900XP program. Testing included Vibration, Operating Characteristics, and restart at altitude. Wrote technical papers used for compliance such as Engine Non-Containment Assessment and Assumptions Used in Derivation of Power Setting Schedules. Wrote compliance reports and provided technical assistance in review of mechanical systems.

Completed design engineering on multiple narrow and wide body Boeing military derivative aircraft including Air Force One. Modification drawings and support mainly in three areas: ECS (Environmental Control Systems), antenna structures, and avionic equipment racks. ECS cooling design lead for E-4B (747-200) platform. Completed drawings, test procedures, and design data. Provided field support for Offutt AFB government customer. Performed as ECS ground and flight test conductor. Presented design solutions to customer in design review including presenting PDR (Preliminary Design Review), CDR (Critical Design Review), and customer coordination meetings in relation to ECS and mechanical design.
