 Responsible for all aspects of product performance testing of automatic transmission components and sub-systems. Major products include one-way clutches, friction clutches, and friction bands. Test programs consist of friction performance, durability, fatigue, and life testing using industry standard and uniquely designed test stands incorporating digital data acquisition. Responsible for the administration of multi-million dollar discretionary and capital budgets, including forecasting and tracking. Responsible for the day-to-day activities of up to 15 salaried and hourly direct reports including compensation reviews, performance reviews, coaching, counseling, discipline, hiring and terminations. Responsible for the laboratory quality system in accordance with QS9000, TS 16949, ISO 14001, formerly certified as a Ford Motor Company Q1 supplier, received General Motors “Targets for Excellence” quality ranking. Developed and implemented database to tie test procedures, test requests and test results into one concise networked package Wrote control and data acquisition programs to automate manual test functions and replace outdated and severely limited software Designed and built several unique test stands Director of North American Operations commendation for management excellence
