I was employed in an extremely versatile role within the company responsible for a number of key business critical customers. My primary role was the introduction of new products ensuring compliance to specification, quality, cost and lead-time.Key to this, I transferred products from the “New Product Introduction Centre” based in Southampton to one of its satellite manufacturing bases in the UK & Europe. The last 2 years of this employment was spent acting as a trouble shooter for failing projects. I implemented process and procedural changes to ensure sustainability & continuity before control was handed back to the original site owners.

In this role I was primarily involved in project management from design to delivery, working with department managers to ensure a smooth transition into manufacturing.I was also engaged in identifying system and process changes to improve manufacturing efficiencies and their environment. During this time, I became involved in continuous improvement through Kaizen and World Class Manufacturing activities.

I was employed as part of a team, involved in the maintenance and development of turbo shaft engine test facilities and their associated plant and equipment. Engaged in fabrication, machining and welding to high standards of engineering, quality and specification.

Following completion of my apprenticeship, I was passed as being competent to undertake mechanical, electrical and electronic maintenance of locomotives, rolling stock and fixed plant installations.
