I've built myself around my ability to learn something new as quickly as possible. This ability to rapidly grow and understand ideas and systems has helped me gain success in rapidly approaching my goals for financial achievement. If there is something I do not currently know, I will do my best to make sure I know it by the time I need to. I am not afraid to do independent study to further myself in the workplace.I was tasked with maintaining and repairing many different systems of emissions monitoring. These facilities needed to keep a high percentage of up-time in their data collection to report to the EPA or there would be heavy fines levied against them. I understood the level of importance that these systems held and acted accordingly to keep them running for as long as possible. This sometimes involved having to make contact with manufacturers and other sources to solve problems in a timely fashion. One of the more important things in my previous employment was safety. In an industrial setting, safety is key to completing a job without any complications. I dealt with high voltage, high pressure, high temperature, and high fall risk. I am competent in proper Lockout/Tag-out procedures and proper usage of fall protection equipment as well as general first-aid/CPR. I believe my current skills, as well as my ability to learn new skills rapidly, would make me a valuable asset to a good company.
