Peconic Institute is a not for profit organization that promotes sustainability and resiliency in the Peconic Region and beyond.Institute board members and staff pioneered the 100% renewable energy goals within the East Hampton Energy and Sustainability Committee. We provided a variety of educational training opportunities in resiliency, coastal planning, and disaster training with local municipalities and the Natural Disaster Preparedness Training Center and NOAA for the tri-state region.

Implement the 100% renewable energy goals for the Town. This included energy efficiency upgrades, a full energy consumption analysis, municipal building renewable energy production potential, feasibility studies and community outreach.Primary grant writer for the town and successfully obtain over $14 million in grants and awards.Co-authored the Town's Climate Action Plan and the NY Prize Microgrid Study.Documented and obtained New York State Climate Smart Community Certification and was the first municipality on Long Island to become certified.Incorporated the Town into the National Flood Insurance Community Rating System.

Represented the Mission at UN committee meetings and report daily activities to the Ambassador. Synthesize daily committee meetings for quick analysis.Attended the July 6, 2010 General Assembly Speech by HM Queen Elizabeth the II. This was probably one of the greatest days of my life!
