John has over 30 years experience in senior management roles which include Sales & Marketing, R&D, Finance, Production, Supply-chain Management and Logistics, and in developing profitable technology based business into global markets. As COO, for Solar AdTek (Solar Advertising Technologies Ltd.), John has designed and manufactured smart LED lighting and intelligent solar control systems which gained the company recognition as a finalist in the EcoConnect CleanTech Innovate UK awards. Applications include bus shelter and billboard advertisement illumination for clients such as JC Decaux and Clear Channel. John co-founded Nualight Ltd. (formerly Ozone Technology Ltd), in 2003, to develop energy efficient LED luminaires for the retail display case applications. As Director of Engineering he developed a broad portfolio of innovative, patented and award winning LED luminaires and generated sales with both retail chains, and their suppliers, in Euro-Asia, North America and South Africa. Nualight is now considered market leader in retail LED lighting. In 2009 John co-founded Save Energy 4 You Ltd. to establish a market for a newly commercialised energy efficient industrial lighting technology – Induction lighting. As Sales & Marketing Director John established a profitable lighting consultancy and sales/distribution company through direct/indirect sales and the establishment of sales channels internationally. His Clients include DAA, Irish Rail, Pfizers, Pepsi, Tata Steel and Inbev Breweries. John graduated in Electronic Engineering, from DKIT, in 1987 and joined Tecpro Ltd. to develop software/hardware for automated electronic test equipment. His innovative approach to product design and process improvement saw his immediate promotion through the management ranks. His achievements included winning the contract to design and manufacture the test equipment for the global production of the original Microsoft Xbox games consoles; from a cold call. As Engineering & Marketing Manager, from 1998-2003, he achieved 20% CAG by positioning the company to be supplier of choice to companies such as IBM, Apple, Intel, Siemens and contract electronic manufacturers globally.
