John Boundy has been a trial lawyer since 1989. He had focused on criminal defense work in east Texas since 2008. In December of 2020 he rejoined the ranks of prosecutor as the Family Violence prosecutor for the Angelina County Attorneys Office. Before that, John had been a prosecutor for Nacogdoches, Walker and Brazoria Counties over the years. Including being a member of the Special Prison Prosecution Unit. There he concentrated on all felony offenses occurring within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice – Institutional Division. With a medical background, (John was a physician assistant after graduating from Southwestern Medical Center in 1984), he has advanced training that assists in understanding today’s complex forensic technology. Being a true type “A” personality, John brings to his practice a natural aggressiveness that lends to his trademark two qualities; Tenacity and Thoroughness.
