 Perform quantitative chemical tests to determine properties of drilling fluids Prepare chemical treatment of drilling fluid system in order to modify properties of drilling fluid system based on previously performed tests.  Calculate concentration of chemicals in drilling fluid system based on prior chemical tests.  Calculate increases in chemical concentration prior to the addition of chemical treatment.  Calculate volume of drilled hole using known values such as hole diameter, drill pipe diameter, and depth of hole.  Managed priorities of work in order to complete chemical treatments in a timely manner.  Ensure drilling company and drilling contractors comply with the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) regulations.
