Led the manufacturing function to deliver output targets and within budget to meet customer requirements and standards. Key Accountabilities: - Line management of the entire manufacturing team, Team Leaders, Production Buyer/planner, Production Engineers, Production Technicians and Operators - Understand and manage scheduling and purchasing functions of direct reports to cover effectively during staff absence - Manage, coach, and develop the manufacturing team to meets agreed objectives, which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements - Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice manufacturing vision, strategy, policies, processes procedures and lean transformation to aid and improve operational performance - Develop and implement Business strategies that ensure business targets are met. - Plan and monitor work flow ensuring effective labour control and utilisation. - Manage working environment and equipment in adherence with health and safety policies. - Support, coach and develop a multi-skilled work force. - Enhance product quality working towards right first time ethos reducing scrap and rework. - Assist with managing ISO9001/2000 quality assurance system. - Drive process improvements by appropriate data analysis working closely with other department heads - Attend appropriate meetings and action/communicate instructions

Responsible for improved efficiency of all manufacturing processes

Responsible for the improved efficiency of the Groups production processes. Driving forward tools and procedures to reduce process variation leading to improved business effectiveness.Key Accountabilities:• Analyse and identify and improve existing operations for increased quality, productivity, efficiency and cost savings.• Investigate operational problems affecting business processes and provide recommendations • Identity process improvements through the use of Quality Tools, CSF data, Audit records focusing on reduction of waste.• Work with other relevant departments to determine estimated costs, run time, cost reduction and recommend improvements and ensure loop is closed through verification. • Liaise with external customers and suppliers as directed, also internal teams involved in improvement projects.• Providing monthly reports and presentations for projects to be presented to externals parties, also the internal leadership team.

Overall accountability for the entire operational process across the Smart Garden Offices sites; installations and groundwork’s, customer service and production ensuring all operational resources are optimised to a world class standard. Managing and leading a team of 30 manufacturing staff and 6 support staff.Key Accountabilities: • Overseeing the entire operational process and installations; enabling the team leaders and supervisors to deliver to a high standard whilst meeting targets and providing an excellent customer service to our customers.• Contribute and make recommendations for the Company Operational strategy, working closely with the MD to set and implement policies and systems as required.• Optimise all operations resources including people, plant and materials.• Maintaining high level QA and engendering quality awareness throughout the process.• Monitor and control operational spends, manage financial budgets to ensure Company targets are met.• Evaluate processes and procedures, improved efficiency utilising advanced production management techniques.• Responsible for the customer services team, ensure excellent customer service internally and externally• Effectively contribute to the Senior Leadership Team and the achievement of the Smart Garden Offices vision• Full utilisation of the ERP system by self and team• Ensure all reporting is completed accurately and on time• Ensure that all regulatory and statutory requirements are met and company policies and procedures are adhered to• Ensure any requirements from internal and external audits are actioned within the timescales required

• To delivery reducing year-on-year product cost movements by improving production utilisation & efficiency and ensuring all continuous improvement activities are resourced, managed and driven to successful completion.• Project lead on numerous projects managing and managing process engineers, manufacturing engineers, validation engineers, electrical engineers, planners and purchasing to deliver projects on time and to budget.• Accountable for full implementation of SQDIP Gemba across all manufacturing cells. • Managing a team of 37 including 3 direct reports.• Realised production output records across manufacturing cells in the first six months increasing output by 20% with zero headcount increase.• Lead and drive multi disciplined teams to achieve short and long term goals of the business whilst providing guidance and coaching to achieve those goals.

• Manage high volume manufacturing of more than 1500 products per month.• Sustained improvement of 15% in productivity over the 6 last year.• Lead, develop and evaluate 30 direct reports.• Control inventory and raw material handling.• Assist with new cost quotes and price quotations for products.• Cost, plan and control a £1,000,000 operating budget.• Lean Enterprise - to be the Production “champion” for achieving continuous improvement, through the deployment of lean enterprise tools and techniques, e.g. set up reduction, one piece flow, 5s.

Manage the utilisation of CNC equipment, facilities and personnel to obtain maximum efficiency and meet performance objectives in the most efficient cost effective manner provide leadership and direction to all production supervisors and their teams.

Responsible for the efficient operations of the production facility across four separate manufacturing areas, Metallising, slitting, and laminating, packing.
