Assistant Research Scientist
JOB SUMMARY: Under minimal supervision and in conjunction with ACUTE clinical staff (which may include attending physicians or psychiatrist (MD), nursing staff (RN), registered dietitians (RD), clinical psychologists (PhDs), physical and occupational therapists (PT/OT), speech language pathologists (SLP), and associated students in these disciplines, this position seeks to develop, publish, and disseminate the clinical research generated by the ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders at Denver Health. Specifically, this position will assist in the organization, development, writing, and submission of all stages of research from the initial idea to its specific project, through any needed grants or Institutional Review Board approval, to data collection and maintenance, coordination with our advanced biostatistical expert, and to the literature searches and co-writing of manuscripts through to preparation of complete manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals, scientific presentations, posters for academic and clinical meetings, and coordination of relevant clinical staff’s participation. In addition, this position maintains the potential for the employee’s own research to be performed and published.
