I have previously directed planning, governance and business case development projects as Associate at SGS Economics and Planning Pty Ltd, and am now National Policy Manager for the Planning Institute of Australia. I am responsible for developing and advocating PIA's public policy agenda.I have been central to PIA's advocacy for a National Settlement Strategy and have lead PIA's involvement in bushfire, cities and regional development inquiries. I am currently working on positioning the institute on a zero net carbon agenda.As the former Principal Policy Advisor, Metropolitan Strategy in the NSW Planning and Infrastructure Agency, I have led the preparation, communication and successful delivery of Sydney's Plan. I have also championed the development of policies for the integration of land use and transport and urban renewal.I have managed project development and the delivery of major urban growth and infrastructure proposals in the the public and private sectors. I have a strong customer focus with 15 years private sector experience in planning, management and environmental consulting. Within government, I have been selected for secondments to leadership roles in the Premier’s Delivery Unit DPC (State Plan), Long Term Transport Master Plan team (TfNSW and the Office of the Director General (DP&I). I have been elevated to Fellow of the Planning Institute of Australia and have been appointed as a member of both Local and Regional Planning Panels in NSW.I am continuing to develop my skills and have completed an Executive Masters of Public Administration to build on my capabilities in planning, environmental science, economics and management.
