• Member of the management team.• Working with third parties to obtain new sources of funding for the company.• Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts• Preparation of quarterly management accounts for submission to various third parties.• Collection of money from debtors.• Preparation and submission of various monthly and quarterly returns to HMRC.• Preparing weekly cash flow forecast.

• Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts.• Analysis of event profitability.• Analysis of all incomes and expenditures to ensure that income and expenditures for future events are correctly allocated.• Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts on a monthly basis.• Liaise with external auditors at end of financial year to prepare annual accounts ready for sign off by Financial Director and Chairman.• Prepare forecasts on a periodic basis, the forecasts were reviewed with the Financial Director prior to presentation to the Chairman.

• Preparation of new product costs for the commercial department for prior to the new products being submitted to customers, ensuring that target margins are in line with group hurdle rates. This included working with different manufacturing scenarios so that the financial implications of recipe changes could be clearly understood.• Prepare weekly management accounts using SAP, and preparing detailed analysis of production variances for senior site management, including material usage and price variance analysis.• Preparation of capital expenditure requests for submission to Head Office, ensuring that Group criteria were met in respect of returns on investments, where applicable.• Working with the Finance Manager in compiling annual budgets, including calculation of wage and material recovery rates.

• Preparing periodic financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries.• Informing strategic decisions and formulating business strategies. • Ensuring the efficient use of resources; motivating and controlling a team of 4 finance staff.• Managing income and expenditure, sales, payroll and stocks.• Participating in Value Engineering Projects giving a financial viewpoint on the viability of proposed changes.• Working with production managers to monitor production targets, including the setting of targets and methods for the measurement of actual performance.• Managing the bi-annual stock take including liaising with the Database and Production departments to ensure that stock take procedures are followed.
