Winner of the Grand Prize from the New York Center for Photographic Art in 2016, John is a long time Fine Art Photographer specialising in Urban and Rural landscapes, abstract and themetic subjects.Has documented epic overland journeys around the world in coast to coast Canada/USA, and from west coast UK through to Beijing. Also images of Cuba in 2008, North Africa in 2010 and Canada in 2012, India in 2014 & 2015 and Sri Lanka in 2015.First exhibited in Arnolfini gallery in 1977 and in April 2011 and November 2011 and 2015 at the RWA (Royal West of England Academy of Art) by judged selection. Also exhibited at Cork Street Gallery, London in 2012 and RWA Bristol exhibition "Drawn" in 2013 and the Quartz Festival in 2015. Exhibited at the Royal Scottish Academy 2014-2015. Also exhibited at the Smith Gallery in Johnson City Texas. Continues to exhibit in UK and USA regularly and is represented by LACDA Gallery in Los Angeles, California, and by FotoFilmic in Vancouver, BC, Canada and featured artist of the Stillpoint Gallery, Maine, USA. Further recent exhibitions in London in 2014 and 2015 in Greek Street and the Truman Centre.Now an Artist Network Member of the RWA, Member of Artists Connect , Chair of Second Look Photographic group and member of Aperture, NY, USA.His work has received 10 International Awards in the last five years.Continues to travel and document the world as unseen by most.
