I'm leading the drive to move towards a Service Management culture within Huntsman IT, including defining organizational, process and technical changes. This includes migrating to HP Service Manager 7 in conjunction with implementing a CMDB with discovery tools.

Managed applications such as Lotus Notes mail, Lotus Notes applications, intranet, e-business applications, document management applications. This covered support and development work. I had a team of up to 12 people working directly for me on development and support work. Specific projects within this period included integration of an acquired business and the move to server-based computing. In the integration I was responsible for e mail, intranet, internet and e-business applications.

Managing the capital program for Huntsman Polyurethans globally. Monitoring implementation and compliance with a global engineering standards program. Carried out benchmarking activities for manufacturing sites. Managed some engineering projects up to a value of USD 4 million.

I started as Development Engineer in the Fluorochemicals division, carrying out small projects. I moved on to Plant Engineer for Arcton plants: chemical plants working with very hazardous and corrosive chemicals. I was responsible for a team of maintenance technicians and a budget of GBP 2 million per year. I defined all mechanical engineering activities, both maintenance and project. Over several years I took on more plants, including the first world-scale HFC 134a plant and a plant producing anaesthetic to cGMP and FDA requirements, and took part in decommissioning plants as they shut down.
