My experience lies within Facility Operations and Event Management, completing two internships in collegiate athletics and working for various athletic departments & venues. My internship with Yale during grad school provided me with internal experience, mainly running events with their own facilities and manpower, while the internship with Rentschler Field showed me some of the ins and outs of working as a third party with a collegiate athletic program. After graduating from Eastern, I took a job in the field with Classic Turf Company, providing me with experience in project management, writing and interpreting contracts and blueprints, managing accounts payable and receivable, complying with and enforcing OSHA and other guidelines. A year later I decided to pursue my Master's Degree with the University of New Haven. During that year I had the opportunity to work with a local sports facility, providing me with experience with rentals, quick facility changeovers, as well as working with recreational leagues for both children and adults. During the pandemic I followed an opportunity to work with Twelve Percent Beer Project, managing a growing beer distribution operation. Currently I'm working as an Event Manager at the XL Center, managing every aspect of the various events coming into the building, including but not limited to AHL Hockey with the Wolf Pack, Collegiate Basketball with UConn Athletics, various concerts, family shows, as well as exhibition hall shows.
