15 years ago I started this journey in the US Army as a Combat Medic. My first year on active duty placed me in Iraq in 2003. From there I continued providing medical coverage for the Army's most decorated unit, 1-1 Cavalry First Armored Division. The base was in Buedingen Germany, beautiful town. From there I was sent to work in the ER, as a Healthcare Specialist, at Brooke Army Medical Center San Antonio Texas. Later and back in Texas I worked in a joint Army and Air Force Dermatology Surgical clinic. Upon leaving the military I focused solely on my education. I worked as a chef as well during this time, but that was a hobby turned part-time job. More importantly, I have just recently been given the opportunity of a lifetime. To once again make saving lives and making lives better my main priority. I look forward to this endeavour.
