Senior Software EngineerJackson Digital Imaging Corp Jan 2000 - Jan 2013Primary duties are designing and developing the very successful Thrill-Pix Ride Photo Imaging Suite. Written primarily in C++, the Thrill-Pix Suite is a software based system running on Windows platforms. Several Windows applications from Capture software to Display Walls to Point of Sale Stations have been designed from the ground up based upon a successful beta DOS version. The Capture software includes remotely controlling high and slow speed digital cameras through frame grabbers, USB, and firewire interfaces. Epix, Imagenation, Coreco, National Instruments, and Integral in both RS644 and Camera Link versions are some of the frame grabbers tested and successfully used in the capture stations. Thrill-Pix is stopping the motion of a roller coaster going faster than 45 miles an hour with sub-millisecond accuracy and producing high quality images which rivals those produced by 35mm film. The Point of Sales system is a highly integrated networked system. It includes an image browser that handles all file maintenance, a cart that processes and prints images for products such as key chains, t-shirts, mugs, and 8X10’s. The image processing algorithms have been written into a DLL shared by all apps. These systems are being used by parks large theme parks all over the world. -
Software/Hardware EngineerLight Science Technolgies Jan 1996 - Dec 2000Worked with Professors and hired Student from our lab in King Engineering and Technology Center on the Prescott, Az. campus of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University where I helped in the design and development of image processing products for x-ray and microscopy. Directly responsible for the C++ User Interface Design as well as the design of several video related PCB boards (built from schematic to PCB with Orcad tools). Design scope was from schematic design to PCB CAD, product assembly, and testing. A high-density six layer serializer daughter board was designed from start to prototype and all technical manuals for these products. Designed and developed the website for LST. Other software used included NT, Win 95/98, Orcad Capture 7.0, Orcad Layout Plus, Visual C++ 6.0, Installshield, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, HTML, Adobe Premiere, and others. Programming for multimedia based applications was accomplished using C++, some ATL COM.

Many projects, two which included a state of the art telemetry system and a wide area radio system, were thoroughly tested and developed in the technical department.
