I have had a blend of both technical and leadership roles in Operations, Accounting, Tax, Finance, and Strategic Management for a span lasting about 17 years. My career journey and experience have been both in the service and FMCG space including banking, energy, education, and consultancy in both locally owned and multinational corporations. I have been involved in leading emergent strategy initiatives, overseeing the design and management of control procedures, heading tax management operations, management of corporate fixed assets, and leading organizational change management processes.I have successfully played a significant role in tax dispute resolution management and acted in defense of organizations' exposure to the risk of loss through litigation by collating and providing factual arguments and hard evidence against KRA audit claims and outcomes.I have spearheaded the design of business strategy giving blueprints, architecture, and development of "special purpose vehicles" to the desired organization goals and objectives. I have been in team leadership roles giving guidance in the implementation of the strategy, optimal resource allocation, and control of asset misappropriation and wastage. I have adopted a collaborative and facilitative leadership approach and am passionate about engaging with and both learning from and sharing developing ideas and insights with professionals across all levels of the organization and from diverse cultures. Finally, I am always keen on taking advantage of learning and researching the business operating environments of commercial organizations and utilizing opportunities that offer platforms for understanding, growing, and developing critical approaches that offer successful organization positioning and competitive advantage.
