My main role consists of the handling of claims to settlement, ensuring the customer is not impacted. I also liaise with solicitors to ensure that claims are progressed in the right matter if litigation is necessary. I am trained to deal with the more technical non-standard claims (for example fire, pothole and wind speed claims)Alongside my main role I have also rolled out a system thinking methodology to external partners to ensure our working practices are more streamlined and we are getting the best results.I have also built and maintain a detailed database compiling various training material for the LV Recoveries department and have had a direct hand in implementing new processes.I also am a referral for complaints managing them from start to end.

I was employed to intervene and offer assistance to non-fault third parties in regard to repairs and hire. This included contacting third parties daily, selling our approved repairer network/hire options, investigating accident circumstances and to make liability decisions. In 2008 this team became the Hire Task Force. My duties then extended to contacting non-fault policyholders to offer assistance in regard to hire, handling any potential case under the Bi-lateral agreement, monitoring repairs and keeping hire costs to a minimum. I am also working under the GTA team which monitors Credit Hire Organizers to maintain low hire costs and to dispute any possible discrepancies.

Employed originally for Office Administration and then promoted after a period of six months to Accidental Damage Claims Technician to deal with a large volume of calls concerning motor incidents. Main Duties included: taking the initial claim call from policyholders, assessing repair damage, instructing the appropriate repairer, and the manual input of claims into the GIOS system.
