Hseq Manager
CurrentIn my role as HSEQ Manager and Mental Health First Aider at SCA Group Ltd, I am primarily stationed at the BAE Systems shipyards in Glasgow, where I share the responsibility for providing scaffolding access and temporary confinement for the build of Naval ships.Collaborating with fellow management team members, I focus on maintaining, reviewing, and enhancing our existing management systems, safe work practices, and company policies to minimize risks for our operatives and ensure compliance with legal standards. I utilize digital tools to conduct regular audits and inspections of work areas, transportation, safe systems of work, and operative compliance. Additionally, I participate in client-led audits on-site as part of a broader team effort. Management of the online scaffold inspection record system, which averages over 1,000 scaffold inspections across the project for our client weekly.Furthermore, I develop and deliver safety talks, briefings, and toolbox discussions that address current issues, accidents, or changes relevant to the site, industry, and regulatory bodies.
