In my current role, I provide regional oversight for specialty pharmacy teams in New Jersey, New York, and Delaware, supervising the care of 3,000+ in-home patients. I ensure all team members provide exceptional service while complying with policies and regulations for the proper administration of biologics, antibiotics, infusions, pain medication, and other life-sustaining treatments. I regularly collaborate with C-suite leaders on budgeting, cost controls, and administrative issues and partner with the Area Director on staffing plans to ensure all patient needs are fully met. Additionally, I initiate, negotiate, and administer agreements with subcontracted nursing agencies as needed.My contributions include:> Serve as part of a committee for Option Care Health dedicated to opening new AIS (ambulatory infusion suites) locations across the Northeast region.> Collaborated with the project management team, as a clinical advisor, to develop and implement a new electronic medical record platform (EMR) that was adopted organization-wide. > Decreased overtime for hourly staff 25% and reduced subcontract agency use 35%.> Improved biannual quality site assessment scores to an average of 95%+.> Increased staff productivity and led team to be recognized in the top 5 for large markets nationwide.> Developed and implemented training programs for the organization’s infusion nurses in three states.

In this role, I led a team of nurses in providing biologics, antibiotics, and parenteral nutrition to patients needing in-home care for conditions that include hemophilia, cancer, Crohn’s disease, chronic pain, and more. I trained and mentored nursing professionals in placing/inserting and maintaining venous catheters and other devices.My contributions include collaborating with leadership and sales/pharmacy team members to successfully onboard new patients and identify strategies to meet their unique medical, health, and pharmaceutical needs. I also partnered with the Regional Nurse Manager and TA to recruit, interview, and hire new team members; directed team building activities, including onboarding, training, and developing new nurses and support personnel.

I was hired to work with a diverse range of patients, providing in-home infusion services to clients across a geographic area, focusing on life-sustaining treatments that range from cancer treatments to pain medication to hemophiliac care. I initiated and implemented nursing plans, performed treatments, administered medications, and educated patients and caregivers on treatment plans and patient needs. In this capacity, I used central venous catheters, mid-line, peripheral, subcutaneous catheters and multiple ambulatory and infusion pumps to administer medications and drug treatments to patients.

In this early role, I oversaw administrative functions and provided quality patient care at a small, long-term care medical and residential facility for children and young adults with medically complex developmental disabilities. I handled a caseload that included the facility’s most sensitive and demanding patients, completing monthly reviews and filing detailed annual reports for each client in the center.
