About John Bursill

I am an highly experienced Licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Cat B2/C and A) and Front-line Leader, Technical Manager, Maintenance Manager, Trainer and Assessor and Safety Manager. Currently at Sydney Airport holding approvals for Virgin Australia, Qantas, AirWork and Nauru airlines as Duty Engineer on shift for AVCRO Engineering. I have a secondary role for AVCRO as the port Trainer and Assessor and LAME Re-certifier. As an Avionic Specialist I am often required to travel around Australia to deal with breakdowns, aircraft modifications and customer projects. Currently I am predominantly in Melbourne leading the Virgin Australia upgrade of their fleet.I'm qualified and Licenced on a range of commercial aircraft, both Boeing and Airbus. I am the business owner of 'Dharawal Training', working part-time (ad-hock) as a high-risk trainer and assessor for Licences4Work and Just Careers Training. I teach and assess; Working in Confined Spaces, White Card (construction safety), Apply WHS, Gas Testing, Working at Heights, Rescue at Heights, EWP< & >11M, Forklift Trucks, First Aid, Chain of Responsibility and Manual Handling.I am licenced and operate EWPs under and over 11ms, Forklift Trucks and to drive vehicles including medium rigid trucks on and off the airport.I am a First Aid Officer and qualified at the Occupational Level - (being is this role for 40 years in the community and in the workplace and as a Medic in the Australian Army Reserve).
