I bring a deep understanding of the school design process, having been both a client and an architect. I leverage these two facets of my experience, along with my experience on three zero energy schools to bring extraordinary value to my clients at DLR Group.

After spending more than 25 years focused primarily on architecture for education, I understood the important nexus of design, value, as well as the public process, and sought to learn the whole life cycle of a school - not just the three to five years of design and construction. As a result, I spent a decade in school district administration, overseeing three capital improvement plans, along with design and construction of more than ten major school facility projects, including three zero energy elementary schools. As Assistant Superintendent of Facilities and Operations I oversaw facilities planning, design and construction, transportation, maintenance, custodial services and three aquatics centers.
