I have always been community oriented and in 1991 I decided to enter into the Political arena. Since that time and throughout the years I have served Brock Township in the capacity of Ward and Regional Councillor. In 2014, I decided to become a candidate for Mayor of the Township of Brock to which I became the successful candidate. I am humbled that the residents of Brock have honoured me with their confidence and look forward to serving them in this capacity for the next 4 years.Brock Township is poised for change and I look forward, with my team of Councillors, to make that change happen. With appropriate, sustainable development in both Residential and Commercial/Industrial growth, we can make Brock all it can be for future generations.At the age of 9 I lost my Father to Leukemia and witnessed firsthand, the hardships my Mother endured raising 4 young children on her own. These memories remained with me throughout the years so when I graduated, I made the career choice to enter the Life Insurance business because I wanted to be the individual that was delivering a cheque to the survivor of a tragedy while other individuals are standing there with their hands out waiting to be paid. I started with a clerk's job with Crown Life and soon became Department Head but wanted to be in the field dealing with people, so became an Agent. I started my business, Grant, Wilder & Associates Insurance Agencies Limited in 1972 and still represent the following prestigious Companies: Standard Life, Manulife, Canada Life, Great West Life, Empire, Equity, Forresters, Canada Protection Plan and others so I am able to offer a wide range of product.I had been affiliated with a General Insurance Broker for over 35 years to be able to provide my Life clients with other types of Insurance.
