The Vice President/General Manager (VP/GM) is responsible for driving the success of the Engineered Check Valve product group through global market expansion, new product development, and a business model that is responsive to the customer and meets their requirements. The VP/GM will work through sales, marketing, and operations across the organization to ensure the product group receives the necessary resources to meet the strategic objectives.PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:•Owns the P/L for the Engineered Check Valve products. •Owns the Business Model for the products in the group•Develop strategic growth opportunities that deliver increased market share and profitability. •Provide leadership expertise for new product ideation and development of new products concepts. Be able to provide strategic priority and sequencing of product development initiatives. •Partner with Product Development and Sourcing teams to ensure developmental priorities are on target and consistent with projected targets. •Ensures the product cost structure is appropriate to meet customer price requirements while meeting OP targets for the product.•Assist in identifying and evaluating acquisition/partnership categories to investigate.•Provide strategic direction, vision, and leadership to Business Line Manager direct reports including coaching, mentoring and developing.•Work closely with Sales and Marketing on product launches, marketing initiatives, and understanding the voice of the customer.•Works closely and influences Operations to ensure inventories meet Business Model specifications and to drive product manufacturing cost reduction initiatives.•Work closely with the senior management team on strategic business development.•Effectively collaborate across functional areas within the company to ensure that all growth initiatives are integrated and prioritized to execute growth
