Mr. Houck is an Environmental Specialist and Hydrogeologist with over 20 years of experience conducting geologic and hydrogeologic evaluations, drinking water development studies, water right permitting, in situ remediation design and testing, and low impact development stormwater designs. Mr. Houck has conducted extensive monitoring and characterization fieldwork and has overseen contaminant migration studies involving wood treating chemicals including creosote/PAHs, pentachlorophenol, copper and arsenic; radionuclides including Sr-90, Tc-99 and uranium; hexavalent chromium, lead, cadmium and zinc; PCBs; chlorinated solvents, petroleum hydrocarbons, pesticides and nitrates. Mr. Houck has performed hydrogeologic evaluations for a variety of clients. Past clients include sewer & water utilities, state and county parks, transportation departments, US Department of Energy facilities, lumber mills, sewage treatment plants, nuclear power plants, railroads, school districts and commercial property owners. He has worked extensively in Ohio and Washington and also in Oregon, Idaho, California, and Montana. He has performed work under both state and federal regulations, including hazardous waste and radioactive waste sites under RCRA and CERCLA.
