John Martin has been a principal in software oriented technology firms since 1999 and is a founder and CTO at Small Bear Technologies, Inc. a firm that specializes in large scale text analytics using Latent Semantic Analysis. He is also holds a PhD in computer science from the University of Tennessee with research interests in large scale text mining specifically related to Latent Semantic Analysis.John has nearly three decades of practical software design and development experience in various environments, covering numerous software development and testing/certification projects. His work has spanned a variety of fields, including business systems, weapons systems, air traffic control, and medical devices. He has additionally been responsible for the development and support of large-scale online transaction processing systems, cross-platform system interfaces, embedded software systems, software system architectures, and application development standards and policy.
