I am special counsel in McCarter & English's Miami, Florida office, concentrating on the national and local defense of complex, high-stakes multi-district, mass-tort product liability litigation for pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers in federal and state courts. While my practice focuses primarily on the defense of pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers, I also have experience litigating complex insurance coverage disputes. In my products liability practice, I represent manufacturers in individual and mass tort matters involving a wide array of products, including prescription drugs, medical devices, agricultural chemicals and railway (asbestos) and automotive products. I have served as national and case-specific coordinating counsel in mass personal injury and wrongful death matters, leading teams of lawyers in all aspects of the defense of such claims. I regularly work with lawyers around the country in the defense of product liability claims.In my insurance coverage practice, I focus largely on commercial property insurance coverage matters. I have represented both policyholders and insurers in large, complex first-party coverage matters, including claims involving defective construction, windstorms, exposure to environmental conditions and other perils. I have also handled complex coverage disputes involving third party claims under comprehensive general liability and professional liability policies.
